The Mullard ECC32 tube is one of the best sounding 6SN7 type tubes ever. If you can use these tubes in your pre-amp or as a driver tubes in you SET 300B/2A3 amp, you should try them, you will be amazed by the sonic qualities of these tubes.

• Plate: black.
• Glass: smoke, clear on top.
• Base: dark brown.
• Marking: print on glass. Printing on both tubes are the same and good: Mullard, ECC32, BVA, made in Gt. Britain. 
• Production date: we do not know the production date but about in the 1950's.
• Box: original.
• Good construction. Pins are shiny, not corroded. They have internal copper rods. Identical tubes inside and out but a little bit different internal (mica).

The Mullard ECC32/CV181 is in the 6SN7 family of tubes. It is not a direct replacement, but for situations where it does work, it is one of the best sounding replacements you can use for ANY 6SN7.
